Designed for pathogenic bioburden reduction in air and on surfaces, our patent pending Disinfector222 utilizes technology discovered by a research team of Professor Brenner at the Radiological Research Laboratory at Columbia University.

The Disinfector222 delivers powerful narrow band-spectrum 222 nanometer ultraviolet radiation. 7Shelter employs the Ushio Care222® Filtered Krypton-Chloride 222nm Far-UVC Excimer Lamp as the ultraviolet irradiation source in our microprocessor controlled light fixture.
 
Studies have shown this technology can safely be used in unoccupied and occupied spaces without posing a health risk to humans when used within the current exposure limits recommended by the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH®) or the requirements of IEC 62471. Exposure within the current ACGIH recommendations and IEC requirements allow microbial reductions using 222nm Far-UVC light sources in occupied spaces. Recent studies indicate that higher doses of filtered Far-UVC light emitted from the Care222 modules pose a minimal health risk to human skin or eyes.
